MCSE Exams
To obtain MCSE certification you will need to pass 7 exams.
Six Core Exams plus one elective exam is required The following four Networking System core modules are required: Exam 70-290: Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment Exam 70-291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
Exam 70-293: Planning and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003
Network Infrastructure One client Operating System exam is required: Exam 70-270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional* One Design exam is required: Exam 70-297: Designing a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure** One Elective exam is required: Exam 70-298: Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network***
The above seven exams are recommended for the MCSE certification for students who attend our MCSE boot camp in Cape Town South Africa. The mcse training takes place over four weeks, which is the minimum time that is required to attend class. However, students who cannot manage four weeks at one time have 12 months to complete their mcse course.
Alternative exams for the mcse certification * instead of the 70-270 client OS exam, students can also qualify with one of the following exams:
Exam 70-620: TS: Microsoft Windows Vista, Configuring
** instead of the 70-297 design exam, students can also qualify with the following exam: Exam 70-298: Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network
*** instead of the 70-298 elective exam, students can also qualify any of the following elective exams:
Exam 70-0894: Designing, Implementing, and Managing a Microsoft
